Judge Indicts Zureiqat, Abou Abbas with 2014 Bombings

First Military Investigation Judge Riyad Abou Ghida issued on Tuesday an indictment against two Islamist militants and their terror group.
Abou Ghida formally charged Mahmoud Ahmed Abou Abbas and Sirajeddine Zureiqat, a so-called spokesman of the Qaida-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades, with Dahr al-Baydar and Beirut's Tayyouneh bombings in June 2014.
LBCI reported that Abou Abbas, who hails from the eastern Bekaa town of Majdal Anjar, held a meeting with Zureiqat on the outskirts of Arsal.
Zureiqat allegedly encouraged Abou Abbas to carry out the Dahr al-Baydar bombing and gave him a Nissan Murano to prepare it with explosives.
The channel said that Syrian Ahmed Fayez Haidar, 23, is the suicide bomber who drove the Murano.
Abou Abbas was charged in December 2014 with taking part in a terrorist cell that prepared and transferred booby-trapped cars from Syria to Lebanon to blow them up in residential areas, in addition to plotting to commit terrorist acts inside the country.
Zureiqat's name has been linked to several security reports and suspects as his Abdullah Azzam Brigades is a staunch enemy of Hizbullah.
Hizbullah has been taking part in the fighting in Syria for over two years now, arguing that its participation is necessary to protect Lebanon from extremist groups.

as for abdullah azzam, still waiting to hear more on chatah's assassination. intelligence sources said a few months back that they had found links....

That's only because the investigations got hijacked by the STL who is not interested in finding the real culprits. They're only here to cover mossad tracks while sucking out millions of dollars from our pockets and creating confusion among lebanese with their false accusations. That's the problem when you get a political tool instead of a trial.
