Bassel al-Moussawi, who was abducted at gunpoint in the Bekaa town of Ali al-Nohri earlier on Thursday, was released, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The circumstances of his abduction remain unclear.

Unknown assailants, who were in a Grand Cherokee that didn't carry any license plates, kidnapped Moussawi from a mini-bus.

They later fled the area.

A patrol from Riyaq police station arrived at the scene and found the papers of the mini-bus, which is registered in Moussawi's name.

Lebanon has entered instability and insecurity, thanks to Ebola deciding for its own wars.

Remember the Estonian cyclists? What was the excuse then?

nassrallah wants people who committed "minor" offenses such as kidnapping, stealing cars, drug dealers to be pardoned and a development plan for the Bekaa to be implemented because they are "oppressed" and "deprived".

Thumb the_roar 26 February 2015, 11:38

Nassrallah was the first to ask the state to apprehend all criminals.

Nassrallah was the first to ask all leaders to stop covering for criminals.

Stop lying ex lfer.

however Hezbollah are always the first to prevent security forces to enter quite a few areas.

prevent? can you provide this evidence?

Thumb saturn 26 February 2015, 12:28

Odd. HZBLH asks the state to apprehend all criminals (who, in Bekaa, happen to be their offspring). But it won't ask the state when it wages wars on its own volition...

Shouldn't they, being such a force, have long ago done this themselves? You know while Israeli border is boring?

LOL.

Thumb the_roar 26 February 2015, 12:38

Saturn please use your brain before you post such outrageous possibilities.

The LAF would be crushed within hours if they engaged Israel.
No standing army in the ME can face Israel, let alone an army that has been deprived of any serious weaponry.

Sign a peace treaty with Israel then you may discuss only the LAF engage the enemy...until then, thinkkkkkkkk!

Thumb saturn 26 February 2015, 13:01

You misunderstood my comment, in a different direction. I said, why did not HZBLH work on cleaning up the criminal-infested areas right under their nose? They are powerful enough to ward off Israel, but let thugs run rampant?

Or we forgot, that's the job for the state. HZBLH has higher priorities.

hezbollah is a resistance, not a police, it fights off the invading hordes be it zionist or takfiris, but it does not enforce internal policies (unless you wish them to? be let us know if this is what you want)

Have you ever been to dahiyeh pajama? I doubt it.
What HA does is ensuring security against the terrorist threats of your israeli and takfiri friends.
This is part of defending against the external enemy, and is very different from policing people, investigating common felonies/crimes, making arrests and so forth.
