The Lebanese army has arrested an Australian citizen in the northern Koura district on suspicion of having ties with terrorist groups, the state-run National News Agency reported.

T.H. was apprehended by the army intelligence at his house in the area of Dahr al-Ain on Sunday night, it said.

The agency did not give further details.

The military is yet to issue a statement to confirm the man's arrest.

The army is struggling to contain a rising tide of violence linked to the civil war in neighboring Syria. It has arrested dozens of extremists for plotting attacks across the country.

But you live in Australia Bani, why do want a country that afforded you & your 26 siblings refugee status & even provided welfare for your family?

shameful people, spitting in the well they drink from.

His comment has surly been flagged by ASIO and the AFP! Hopefully this guy will be raided one early morning while he is shaving his moustache and combing his beard!

Australia is a beautiful, peaceful, civil society built by the honesty, hard work, sacrifice and civic-mindedness of European Australians. They don't abuse women and children at Cronulla beach, they don't murder people of other religious beliefs, and they are happy with what they have achieved. They are willing to share Australia with free-loaders but they find low-life migrants difficult to put up with. So, all those jihadis calling themselves Australian are most welcome to return to the wonderful societies whence they came.
