Geagea Says State Split, Believes Arab Coalition to Intervene in Syria

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea considered on Thursday that the Lebanese state is fragmented, expressing belief that the Saudi-led Arab coalition will head to Syria after the crisis in Yemen ends.
“The state is incomplete and will never rise amid the absence of the strategic and security decision in it,” Geagea reiterated in an interview with the Egyptian newspaper el-Yom el-Sabe.
He said that the main point of contention between the March 14 and 8 alliances is the abnormal situation in the country.
“The March 14 coalition is seeking for the rise of an actual state, while the March 8 alliance deems the situation in the country as ideal.”
The LF leader reiterated that Hizbullah and its allies in Lebanon, who are affiliated to Iran, are obstructing the presidential elections, saying: “Since the first moment I expressed readiness to discuss the name of a third candidate, but unfortunately Hizbullah and its allies are not ready.”
“It is useless to discuss the name of a third candidate... even if I said I'll withdraw from the presidential race this will not change anything,” Geagea added.
He considered that Iran is “seeking to fortify its role in the Middle East by controlling the presidential polls in Lebanon or pressing for the election of its candidate.”
MPs failed on several occasions to elect a new head of state over lack of quorum. President Michel Suleiman's term ended in May without the election of a successor.
Hizbullah and Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun's Change and Reform bloc have been boycotting electoral sessions due to a disagreement with the March 14 camp over a compromise presidential candidate.
Geagea expected that the Arab coalition will head to Syria in the upcoming months at the end of the crisis in Yemen.
“This is why Iran's allies reject Saudi Arabia's intervention” against the Huthi rebels, the Christian leader told his interviewer.
More than 215,000 people have been killed in Syria in four years of conflict, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, as the brutal civil war entered its fifth year.
Saudi Arabia launched airstrikes in Yemen on March 25, announcing that it had put together a coalition of more than 10 countries, including five Gulf monarchies, for the military operation to defend Yemeni President Abedrabbo Mansur Hadi's government against Huthi rebels.
It said that it will continue its operation Decisive Storm until Hadi is restored to power and the rebels, backed by Iran, are defeated.
The military move against the Shiite Huthi rebels triggered fury from Saudi Arabia's regional rival Iran, Hizbullah's main regional ally, with officials in Tehran warning that the military action threatened to spill over into other countries.

(3). Mowaten, look, here's a small story, maybe small, but big, very big because people are now changing. About a month ago, in a well known touristic area of Lebanon, (Not in Beirut), a restaurant as usual hired a company to take care of its valet parking, mostly now run and controlled by the Shiites. A client came to take his car only to find it badly dented by the valet workers. A heated dispute ensued where the valet company refused to take responsibility and was even threatening the car owner and his family, the valet guys called some Hezbollah thugs who came within 15 minutes, they were about 8 in all. When matters heated up between the car owner, restaurant owner and the valets and their thugs, guess who also came to the scene, that's right, you guessed, LF guys. They were armed to the teeth and within minutes the dispute was solved whereby the valet company will repair the damaged car.

all the battles against the Syrian occupier was done when Samir was not the head of the Lebanese forces (he even then retreated and withdrew his men from zahle battle, and he done insihab takte from jabal )as a leader under other head of LF
but when he became head of Lebanese forces not even 1 battle with the Syrians

It is true that the only people who stood up to lebanon in the civil war were the LF and the Kataeb. The LF became less disciplined when Bachir was murdered and lost their initial sparkle until they were disarmed.
ALso to be fair HA helped liberate the south in 2000. But when their services were no longer needed, they became a bunch of thugs profiting from the fact that their partners were unarmed to impose their vision and establishing their own statelet in lebanon.

Lebjack, in the Souf, Geagea's forces were defeated not because of Jumblat alone. The Israelis had Druze fighters of the IDF there who acted against Geagea after the abrogation of the May 17th accord by Amin Gemayel. Then Geagea who was still capable of holding out for a while asked for reenforcements from then president Amin Gemayel from the Lebanese Army. Gemayel promised Geagea 6000 soldiers and that they will be sent prompt. Amin who hated Geagea and who also wanted him dead did not send the troops hoping that Geagea and his troops will die in the Shouf. I have LF friends who died in Kfar Matta. But the Roar, the evil lair will do anything to paint a fake image of the LF, especially Geagea.

I will recall some decades again, when the partisans of a certain wannabe general, who is in truth a caporal, when these partisans, Christians too, went to Bkerke and broke the gates of that holy institution, pulled the beard of His Eminence the Patriarch, tore down all his pictures and promptly replaced them with the Caporal's, chanting "this is our patriarch". I will recall these same people, when they took His Eminence, despite all his pleas for reason and unceremoniously tossed him from one shoulder to the other.

Christians like you may have been popular in the late 1970s, but we are now in the age of social media and openness, an age where closed-mindedness - as displayed by you, as displayed by ISIS - is condemned.
"We" are not born more educated, more free thinking. Societal, economic and political institutions determine that. There was a time where the Islamic world was a centre of knowledge for medicine and mathematics - while Christian Europe was caught up in monarch battles and dogmatic societies. Perhaps that should teach you a lesson.

Just remember it was Aoun who said ''I am ready to die on the battlefield of honor rather than surrender. Be sure I shall die fighting,'' General Aoun told the cheering crowds who formed a human shield around his palace. Then he fled, leaving his soldiers to be executed and his family to be raped by Syrian soldiers. He fled with millions from the treasury and lived the high life in France.
And remember when he once called Hezbollah terrorists? What happened after that who the hell knows. Aoun belongs in Deir el-Salib and should rot there.

I don't think you can say LF followers only follow Bashir's principles. If the LF followers followed Bashir's principles, Geagea would not be their leader. Geagea (along with everyone else) should have been imprisoned for a long time and banned from politics. Only because no one went to prison (except Geagea), that's why I don't object to him being the leader of the LF.
However, I don't think Geagea's stances follows Bashir's. If Geagea were like Bashir at all, he would confront Hezbollah with force. It's the same situation as the 1970s: a group of people are forming a state within a state. You're gonna say but he's following Ta'ef bla bla. That's bull Ta'ef is no longer applicable to Lebanon's situation. Hezbollah are taking over the country little by little, and Geagea is just sitting there.
