The seat of the Maronite church, the Lebanese Forces and Marada Movement are likely to approve an initiative launched by Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun on the presidential deadlock, Change and Reform bloc sources said Monday.

“If we agree, not a single side would have an excuse to reject it,” the sources told al-Akhbar newspaper.

The sources accused the Kataeb Party of being “hesitant,” saying its leader, former President Amin Gemayel, is “not serious.”

The initiative of Aoun, who heads the Change and Reform bloc, sets four solutions to the presidential crisis, at the forefront the election of a president directly from the people in two phases, first by the Christians, who would eliminate candidates and on a second phase by the Lebanese people.

According to Aoun, another solution would be to hold a popular referendum. The candidate who garners most votes would be elected by the parliament as a new president.

The initiative also includes the possibility of electing the Maronite candidate who has the majority of representation at the parliament, while the fourth is staging the parliamentary elections ahead of the presidential polls based on a new electoral law that provides equality between Christians and Muslims.

You want a popular referendum? Fine! I say we hold a popular referendum to choose the president. Only Christians vote! One phase only. You think you have the majority of the Christians with you... Let's see!

Excellent. We also need to let the Christians abroad to vote.

Michel Aoun is the reflection of those who elected his candidates to parliament. Lebanese who identify themselves as Christians, feel disenfranchised because they lost their powers like the whites in South Africa and are racists and sectarian.
Other Michel Aoun lovers include the pro-Syrian Christians: baathists, syrian nationalists like Elias Abu Saab and other opportunists.
Lebanon used to have presidents like Bechara El Khoury, Camille Chamoun and Fouad Chehab who spoke like leaders, acted like leaders and loved their country.
Today we have Michel Aoun who is as despicable, ignorant and hungry as they come.

Aoun needs tailor made laws or a tailor maid constitution to be elected with the shiaa votes. Without them, he is nothing!

During his last meeting with HA, Caporal asked Ebola to take Baabda by force like the Houtis did in Yemen. He received a promise once Qalamoun is over.
We must be aware of what is being prepared for the destruction of the Christians.

These guys should not humor Aoun, in only encourages and enables his disease and makes him believe that his delusions are real.
Nothing can happen with any of this until first there is a President elected under the current constitution. Why? Because under the current constitution there can be nothing done in the absence of a President. The Constitution declares the Parliament to be solely an electoral body until it elects a President. The effect any change in the constitution, the Parliament must act as a legislative body, which it can not do under the Constitution as long as the Presidential vacuum persists.
