Israeli Army Official: We are Busy with Hizbullah in Syria

W460

The Israeli army's northern command is busy tracking Hizbullah in Syria, its chief, Maj.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi, has said.

“The most prominent sphere is the change this sector has experienced and is experiencing. In our generation, under our watch, we are facing this challenge – and we must know to change,” Kochavi has said, according to the Jerusalem Post daily.

The Northern Command “is busy, today, with Hizbullah in Syria, and this is how it will be in the next war,” he added.

Hizbullah is deeply involved in Syria's civil war, fighting alongside President Bashar Assad's forces. The party cites fears the Sunni militants will sweep through Shiite and Christian villages in diverse Lebanon as the reason for its involvement in Syria.

Israel fought a devastating 34-day war against Hizbullah in 2006 that cost the lives of 1,200 people in Lebanon, mainly civilians, and 160 Israelis, mostly soldiers.

Thumb _mowaten_ 16 June 2015, 18:42

Indeed Barrymore, but they keep wanting to put some sectarian tag on me to rationalize their hatred.
I guess they are unable to comprehend that someone can have opinions of his own (i.e. not adopted as a "package" with religion)

Thumb _mowaten_ 16 June 2015, 12:41

how "ironic" indeed, you finally found an excuse to call again the same "savior" you were counting on 30 years ago to "rid" you of your fellow people. haven't you learned anything from history? traitors and collaborators were left hanging like dirty diapers.
