Teen Kills 9-Year-Old Boy in Bshamoun

The Internal Security Forces said Saturday that police arrested a 14-year-old for killing a boy in the Mount Lebanon town of Bshamoun.

A communique issued by the ISF General Directorate said the body of Mahmoud al-Assi, 9, was found at a construction site covered with a bed sheet and soil at 5:00 am.

Al-Assi had gone missing on Friday night.

Following a thorough investigation, police located the whereabouts of his suspected killer and arrested 14-year-old Aa. Aa.

The suspect admitted to killing the boy by striking him with a wooden board on his head, said the communique.

According to police, Aa. Aa. murdered al-Assi for threatening to tell his mother that he was sexually harassing him.
