Hizbullah 'War Correspondent' Killed near Syria's Aleppo

A Lebanese journalist working for Hizbullah was killed while covering clashes in northern Syria, Syria's official news agency said Monday.

"The war correspondent of the Lebanese resistance (Hizbullah), Mohammad Mahmud Nazar, was killed yesterday while covering military operations" in Aleppo province, SANA reported.

Nazar, 28, was from the southern Lebanese village of Arab Salim.

According to SANA, he was "one of the first journalists to cover the battles between the Syrian army and the resistance against the terrorists in Syria."

Hizbullah, a staunch ally of the Syrian regime, acknowledged in 2013 that it had dispatched fighters to back Damascus against the Sunni-dominated uprising.

The group has since taken part in Syrian regime offensives throughout the country, including south of Syria's second city, Aleppo.

Hizbullah runs the al-Manar television station and website and al-Nour radio station.

At least 49 Syrian and foreign reporters have been killed in Syria since the conflict began in March 2011, according to Reporters Without Borders.

Army Command: Detained terrorist Mohammed Abdo Taleb has been referred to the judiciary for belonging to a terrorist group, fighting in Syria, forming a terrorist group in Tripoli and involvement in the Le Duroy Hotel case and other cases.

One of the charges against this "terrorist" is "Fighting In Syria".....! If that is an offense then why are thousands of Hezbollah terrorists not charged for the same offense?

Thumb justin 16 November 2015, 17:22

Fighting in Syria is authorized for a specific sect of the Lebanese population and they are treated as heroes with VIP privileges. Others are branded terrorists for doing the same. I personally am against anyone fighting in Syria or any other place and I think it is the reason why Lebanon is facing these security threats.

Thumb lubnani.masi7i 16 November 2015, 17:26

either that or they are "pilgrims"

I was searching to see if this funeral was indeed held in Lebanon but I could not see one iota of evidence to show these people are Lebanese. The Lebanese flag is the last thing on their minds.... Iranian mullahs and ideology.

Yes, we have heard of embedded journalists who carry cameras and wear PRESS outfits and not AK47s and military fatigues.

There is a major difference between the attacks in France and in Lebanon.
In Lebanon, terrorists are attacking a war area.
In France, terrorists are attacking peaceful areas.

We said time after time that Ebola is an iranian army working against Lebanon and has destroyed national unity and the living together.
The followers of Ebola are unable to realize the harm they are doing to the whole country and how they are building hatred instead of love and friendship.

Finally, France is a real democracy and liberty, while Iran is not and that is a huge difference. When Iran and Ebola become a democracy and promotes liberty and respect, then you can expect the world to raise the flags of Lebanon.

P.S. since our friend Bigjohn watches only Al Manar and OTV he could not see that there was an ENORMOUS FLAG of Lebanon next to the French Flag projected in colors on the walls in Paris.
