إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةTensions were high Sunday in the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in south Lebanon after a man belonging to the Fatah Movement was shot and wounded, state-run National News Agency reported.
“Former Jund al-Sham member Bilal Badra fired at a Fatah Movement member belonging to the al-Mughrabi family, wounding him in the stomach and leg,” NNA said.
The man was rushed to one of the camp’s hospitals.
Ain al-Hilweh near the southern city of Sidon is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. It is home to about 50,000 refugees and is known to harbor extremists and fugitives.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) estimates that some 425,000 Palestinian refugees are living in Lebanon.
Others, however, estimate the number to be closer to 250,000.
