Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri stressed Friday “the need to accelerate the trials of the perpetrators of violence and crimes against women in Lebanon” and to “toughen the verdicts.”

He said on Twitter on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: “We must enforce and reform laws to protect women from this blatant violation of human rights.”

“Together, men and women, we must improve the condition of women in our country,” he added.

Abuse of women there is more common than drinking a glass of water. This is just talk and nothing will change there. People are so selfish and pompous that they'll continue to turn a blind eye and live in their artificial bubbles they call lives. They're more concerned with fake thoughts of perfection and living in a dream world where selfies sticks are more important. Abuse ignored is the norm in Lebanon.

The women there need to smarten up too, alot KNOW the one they like is abusive but are with him solely because he has a motorcycle or some stupid hipster beard, very shallow. They need to know their self worth and not seek constant validation from complete strangers, nor do it solely because their family seeks it.
