Suleiman Visits Dubai Ruler, Lauds UAE for ‘Embracing’ the Lebanese

President Michel Suleiman praised the United Arab Emirates for embracing the Lebanese community there, the Emirates News Agency reported on Monday.

WAM quoted Suleiman as hailing the country for “embracing the largest Lebanese community that lives in a tolerant and diverse community and contributes through the expertise of its citizens and their capabilities to the development process of the UAE.”

The president made his remarks during talks with Prime Minister and Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.

Suleiman invited Sheikh Mohammed to visit Lebanon, WAM said.

The agency added that the Dubai ruler discussed with Suleiman bilateral relations.

It quoted Sheikh Mohammed as saying that ties between the two countries are strong and will remain so due to the efforts exerted by the two countries’ leaderships.
