Aoun: I Wish I Inherited My Grandpa's Grove Instead of Becoming President
President Michel Aoun has expressed his concern over the threats that Lebanon and even the Lebanese “entity” are facing.
In an interview with al-Jadeed TV, Aoun said that his warning in September that Lebanon was headed to “hell” was not a slip of the tongue.
“The battle of forensic audit is a battle of breaking free and not a war of liberation, and breaking free is more difficult than liberation,” Aoun answered, when asked about the difference between the 1989-1990 era and the current period.
“There will be no going back in this battle. The audit will take place,” the president stressed, slamming his hand on the table.
“This task could have been finished in a week. They have been exchanging memos and letters for four months and people are still wondering who does not want the forensic audit,” Aoun lamented, referring to the information requested from the central bank by the Alvarez & Marsal firm through the Finance Ministry.
Asked whether he has been “confined” by the presidency after having been described as a “tsunami” following his 2005 return to Lebanon, Aoun said: “I didn’t imagine that I would be this confined. I didn’t expect that this system is this barricaded and immunized. Even at the judiciary, which is the authority we have chosen to fight our battles, it turned out that there are several rings.”
“Recently, I told my wife, ‘I wish I inherited my grandpa’s grove instead of becoming president,’” Aoun revealed.
The guy speaks about things he doesn’t understand. Like winning battles and all. The guy fled the battle in the middle of the night leaving his men behind to a certain death at the Syrians’ hands. Most of who are still missing in Syria today.
Then he talks about his September warning about going to hell yet hell was unleashed a month earlier on august the 4th 2020. He’s completely disconnected from reality, it’s disconcerting!
I also wish you'd inherited you grandpa’s grove instead of becoming president, most of us do.

lol... this lunatic destroyed the country several times and initiated wars in order to become president. Oh, just like Bassil who never wanted to be an MP or minister but was forced to.
Dear i.report,
You and the likes of you need to be genuine and at peace with yourselves to better comprehend "The Good", "The Bad", and "The Ugly".
Furthermore; understand, that all the problems Lebanon faces today have existed well before General Michel Aoun was elected as President of the Republic of Lebanon. So with all due respect, for there to be a Great Lebanon again, you and the likes of you need a little more vision, and have some faith in this Great Man and the foundations he is laying for not only a Better Lebanon but a Greater Lebanon well into the future.

lol, lol, lol.... your idol has been president for almost 5 years and just look at his accomplishments: Zero! I like your vision though:)
You're probably right dude, well before he was elected, but way before he was elected things were still much better. Since he sat on the chair, it's gone from bad worse, did he try to fix anything? Oh yes, his daily naps were always well scheduled and on time. Foundations? kkkkkkkkk.
I have the utmost respect and deepest admiration for Mrs. Gabriel for being genuine and at peace with itself.
There is a simple solution for him to this problem. You may have heard of it, it is called Resignation.
He failed miserably despite having the largest block in Parliament, being allied with an illegally armed militia, having control of very critical ministries and high profile positions, manipulating the judiciary, etc. In the end, his excuse " They did not let us work"!
"I Wish I Inherited My Grandpa's Grove ...."
Well, your Grandpa never owned a Grove to start with.

To all of you above whom have posted negative &/or sarcastic replies to my post;
I could easily indulge in this game of denial you all play, and in turn respond to all your remarks...but, I have better ways of consuming my time, although, I shall leave you all with the following phrase; WAKE UP.
