Shea, al-Rahi Stress Need to Form Govt. as Soon as Possible
U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea on Wednesday held talks in Diman with Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi.
The discussions tackled “the various developments in the local arena, especially the issue of the government’s formation and the efforts to achieve the necessary reforms that Lebanon needs,” al-Jadeed TV said.
Shea and al-Rahi also stressed the need to “form the government as soon as possible, because the Lebanese people can no longer withstand further economic and social pressures.”
At the end of the visit, the patriarch presented a cedar implant to the ambassador.
