Raad Criticizes Exaggeration of Events, Calls for Dialogue

Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammed Raad criticized on Saturday attempts by some politicians to exaggerate incidents and fabricate events, calling on the Lebanese to find consensus among each other.

“Some are exaggerating events or instigating incidents in order to divert attention away from Lebanon's best interest,” Raad said in comments on Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea claims that he had escaped an assassination attempt, without naming him.

The Hizbullah official urged all the Lebanese to find consensus among each other and to avoid “hatred and resentment.”

Geagea said Wednesday that he escaped an assassination attempt when a sniper fired at his residence in Maarab.

Security forces extracted two sniper bullets, ranging between 12.7 and 14.5mm, from a wall at his house.

He added that the security of the Maarab compound was not breached and that the attacker had carried out the attack from a distance of up to four kilometers using very advanced equipment.

Raad said that the resistance is doing its duty and remaining calm concerning all the campaigns against it.

“We are patient but we will not forget… We might forgive but we don’t forgive on the expense of the nation,” the MP stated.

He noted that Hizbullah is keen to maintain the national unity in Lebanon.

“The Lebanese are not united in identifying the enemy of our nation,” Raad added.

He revealed that his party insists on dialogue among all the Lebanese foes, saying “we will not be able to help Lebanon without consensus, dialogue and reaching common grounds on principles.”

That's right, I forgot, you're ready to welcome Israel in, like you did back in the war. Shut up, slave.

Interesting comments by Mr. Raad. Events he says are diverting attention from "Lebanon's best interest". What does Mr. Raad know abut Lebanon's best interest. He is in service to Iran's best interest, and his party usurps does not serve Lebanon's.
He says Lebanese should "avoid hatred and resentment". What is Hezbollah but the fountainhead of hatred and resentment? It thrives on it and nurtures it within the Shia community to maintain its loyalty.
Mr. Raad says “we will not be able to help Lebanon without consensus, dialogue and reaching common grounds on principles.” Very true. Put down your weapons, come on par with all other Lebanese parties and this will be possible. Without it, there will be no consensus reached.
Finally he says "we don’t forgive on the expense of the nation".
Yes. Mr. Raad and neither do we.

You always talk about Iranian interests, but Nasrallah hasn't even got relations in Iran. Mr. Hariri, on the other hand, wasn't even born in Lebanon but we let him become our Prime Minister. How's that for logic? Too much for your little brain?

Sorry but Nasrullah is not originally Lebanese, but he is one of the palestinian shiites getting Lebanese passports ( from the seven villages). I guess its taboo to talk about this issue.

you guys are confusing the facts, the surveillance was actually carried out from a distance of up to four kilometers not the attack itself. The attack was carried out from less than one kilometer away.

Well done Mr Raad.. you claim the events were exaggerated, so i gather you knew exactly what happened!! that wouldn't surprise me one bit!! An attempt on someone's life took place and thats what you have to say!

He preaches consensus while practicing assassinations. Why not, it has worked for them so far.... no morals or patriotism.

What he should've said, "As long as the oposition agrees with us, we can have consensus"

Please, take your armed bunch and leave Lebanon alone.

Let the Lebanese citizens and all the people inside Lebanon and outside Lebanon vote for their elected officials, and I can assure you that we will elect no thugs to fix, unify and bring back a place once called Paris of the middle east. The flame will not be put out in Syria because the terrorist Baath regime has ruled ruthlessly for 50yrs, killed, and massacred the Syrian people all these years the same fashion as they imposed and executed their assassinations in Lebanon on the hands of their dogs. Lebanon will not be united and live in peace as long as the current Syrian and Iranian regimes enjoy terrorizing and killing their opponents.
