Two women were wounded overnight when a dispute between members from the Nasereddine and Abbas families turned into a shootout in Beirut’s southern suburbs, the National News Agency reported Friday.

NNA said the members of the two families were riding a Hyundai van in Hay el-Sellom when their altercation led a member of the Nasereddine family to open fire, injuring two women.

The victims were identified as Hiyam Salam Zeitouni and Hiba Ali al-Hamad.

The gunmen escaped to an unknown location but the Internal Security Forces have launched a manhunt to apprehend them, the agency added.

The only lowlife is you independence for taking advantage of this incident to over-generalize, categorize, and spread your hate-- Independence you and your likes are why Lebanon is in a disfunctional state.

It must be someone called in the street: "YA ALI" so then they all started shooting one another thinking the Zionists arrived.

It is amazing how we turn every news item into a politically motivated attack on one another, we should all condemn the wrong and praise the correct as lebabnese not sectarians...I really don't think hezb had any involvement, i bet the feud between these families has nothing to do with the entire shiaa sect. This type of thing happens everywhere so lets not make wild accusations, being civilised is one of our main advantages, lets try to act the part. I am no fan of hezb or his shiaa followers but I know a lot of shiaa who are very good people and I bet like them we are all not happy people can get shot in our streets. Yes Hezb have guns and this is the result of baring guns, but when a sooting happens in tripoli is the entire sunni population at fault?
