The March-14 led opposition criticized on Tuesday the meetings of the follow-up committee and the Joint Economic Committee between Lebanon and Iran, al-Liwaa newspaper reported.

A senior opposition source said that the meetings “embarrass” the cabinet in the Arab world, regionally and internationally.

The Iranian delegation arrived in Lebanon Sunday night in order to discuss economic cooperation with Lebanon and have so far met on Monday and they will continue discussions on Tuesday.

The source considered however that the delegation’s visit is aimed at comforting its allies in Lebanon amid the dramatic developments in the neighboring country Syria.

The deep crisis threatening the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad could also have an impact on Hizbullah's weapons supply through Iran and Syria, analysts believe.

Economy Ministry Director-General Fouad Fleifel urged during the meetings with the Iranian delegation, officials to remove all obstacles halting the flow of imports and exports between the two countries.

For his part, the head of the Iranian delegation Jamshid Nour-Salehi stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral ties between the two countries.

The discussions, according to the National News Agency, will be held over two days and a report will be referred to Prime Minister Najib Miqati.

Miqati will tackle the report with the Iranian Vice President Mohammed Reza Rahimi, who is scheduled to arrive in Lebanon on Wednesday.

What about M14's view of Jeffrey Feltman's visit? Would they also label it as "embarrassing"?

Once the US start sending shipments of all sort of arms to the Christian Resistance (or Lebanese Resistance) then we can compare the two visits. I am not advocating that the US starts doing so, but I am advocating that Iran stops doing that.

Well lets get the facts straight....Iran has been pumping HA with weapons for almost a decade through Assad's regime.....and one main reason why Russia supports these barbaric clients. So its about time the US & West support the one & only legitimate Lebanese armed forces with superior weapons (and training) to rid us all of this disease that has engulfed our region (both Syria & Lebanon).

The US is the leader of the free world. Is it so bad that we ally ourselves with them? By contrast, Iran is a terrorist-sponsoring state that wants to fight Isreal on the backs of the Lebanese people from Lebanese soil. We don't want to fight Isreal. We don't want to fight anybody. We want to heal our broken country and fix her economy and send our children to school in peace and hope for a better life. We don't want to be tools in the hands of the Iranians, the Syrians, the Isrealis or anybody else.

It seem to me that Aoun's politics are driven by only one principle: spite (nkéyé). He expected to come back to Lebanon and be enthroned in Baabda. Didn't work out that way. Ba3do 7érdén.

As the criminal Assad regime faulters and is about to crumble, it's sponsor the Iranian Criminal Khamenist regime is looking for its slaves the subordinate Hezb Ebola and its government, made in Damascus and Tehran that is hijacking Lebanon, to provide it with the window to deal with the outside free world economies, and get some badly needed hard currency as stated above by anon. This current HA government is trying very hard with its ally the criminal Assad's dying moment to sacrifice Lebanon and its resources and jeopardise its economic relations with the free world (as HA has been doing stealthily through its Shiite operatives in different western countries with money laundring operations).

By doing so HA hopes to get the Mullah's in Iran some hard currency as well as carry out terrorist operations against specific western and Israeli targets and taint the reputation of the majority of free hard working Lebanese diaspora that has given so much to their host countries, in hope these countries would in turn alienate ALL Lebanese indiscriminately. The best way to elliminate Hezbullah and its filth is to finish off Assad and bomb the hell out of Qom and Tehran.
