A joint Lebanese-Palestinian investigation committee stressed on Thursday the importance of cooperating with the army and facilitating its task in maintaining peace, stability and security.

“The matter falls in the interest of both the Palestinian and the Lebanese people,” the committee said in a statement.

It pointed out that halting sedition requires removing the causes of the escalating tension.

The committee agreed on removing the security measures that are causing distress to the Palestinians in the Nahr al-Bared refugee camp and to respect their dignity and humanity.

It also urged the Lebanese state to release the aid to Nahr al-Bared in order to swiftly rebuild it and to stop the media campaigns and fabricated news that are helping in igniting sedition and increasing tension to create “fake instability.”

The committee called on the Lebanese judiciary and cabinet to assume its full responsibility and take decisive action to achieve these rightful demands.

At least three Palestinians were killed and several people, including three Lebanese soldiers, were wounded in clashes that erupted between the Lebanese army and residents of the Palestinian refugee camps of Nahr al-Bared and Ain el-Hilweh.

Why is all this hatred? If you have any humanitarian ethics you would think again about what you're saying. Refugees are refugees. They should not be armed but should also be treated in a humane way weather you like them or not. Remember that we the Lebanese have been refugees sometimes.
