Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip fired a rocket toward the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon on Tuesday evening but it was intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, the military told Agence France Presse.

On Friday two rockets slammed into open ground in Israel's south, without causing casualties or damage.

The border between Gaza and Israel remains tense with occasional flare-ups, especially in June when Palestinians fired dozens of rockets into the Jewish state which responded with multiple air raids that killed 15 Palestinians.

And everyone complains when Israel retaliates. Your article specifically states that Israel responds to attacks from Gaza. Why is there difference when as you state the rocket from Gaza was fired towards the town of Ashkelon, or an Israeli rocket is aimed at Gaza town, it is always civilians who are going to be hit.
