Soldier Killed, 2 Injured in Bekaa Shooting

A soldier was killed and two civilians were injured on Wednesday when financial differences turned into a gunbattle between residents of two towns in the eastern Bekaa valley, the National News Agency reported.
NNA said soldier Mohammed Jaafar Nasereddine and Ali Assaad Dabbous and Mohammed al-Fliti were wounded when the residents of the towns of al-Ain and Arsal in Bekaa’s north battled with guns.
Al-Ain’s residents condemned the crime and rejected to receive the body of the dead man, the agency added.
The residents of Arsal called for self-restraint and extended their condolences to those residing in al-Ain.
Also in the Bekaa, B.D. opened fire on Ali Abdul Rahman, injuring him in the shoulder in a dispute in the town of Saadnayel.
The army intelligence arrested the suspect after fleeing from the scene of the incident, NNA said.

FT the article at tayyar.org says that it is the suspect in the shooting of Ali Abdul Rahman who got arrested. No word on the person who killed the soldier.
