Judge Madi Says FBI Team Tasks 'Limited' to Offering Technical Assistance

Prosecutor General Judge Hatem Madi stressed on Friday that he cleared to the FBI investigation team “its limits,” setting its task to providing the Lebanese security agencies with the technical assistance only in the probe into the assassination of Internal Security Forces Intelligence Bureau head Brigadier General Wissam al-Hasan.

“The FBI team will not interfere in the investigations,” Madi said in comments published in al-Joumhouria newspaper.

Madi told the newspaper that the Lebanese investigation team will “report to him personally” and he will successively give them their tasks.

He pointed out that other countries might offer the same “aid” to Lebanese authorities, ruling out that any political team might reject this support as “the foreign investigating teams' tasks are limited.”

The FBI team arrived in Beirut on Thursday and began gathering evidence at the scene of a bombing that killed Hasan along with two others.

As Safir newspaper reported that France will delegate an investigation team to Lebanon, similar to the U.S. investigation team, to offer all the support in the investigations of last week's bombing.

The March 14-led opposition has widely blamed Syrian President Bashar Assad for the attack, as it did in 2005 when former premier Rafik Hariri was killed in a huge Beirut blast.

How about the US, France and Britain changing their minds and agreeing to provide satellite images of the incident in order to prove that Syria and, of course as the March 14 crowds already know, Hizbullah, are the perpetrators of this criminal act? March 14, if I were you, I would raise hell if the satellite images are not provided because the images should prove without a doubt that the assassination was executed by none other than... well... umm... duh... Syria and Hizbullah and perhaps even Emile Lahoud and Imad Marmal and Gebran Bassil and Wiam Wahab and Nasser Qandil and...? You get the idea, my compatriots. You go, warriors. No images, no peace and no resting in peace in pieces! God bless March 14 forever and ever, Amen! So go, go, go, go, go warriors.

Iran is creating havoc in the region: Kurdistan, Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon. It is a tyrant islamic regime persecuting opponents. It spends all its money on nuclear and traditional weapons. It pushed the HA to kidnap westerners back in the 80's in Lebanon. It regularly calls for hatred against jews.
We live today with a powerful Israel backed by a powerful USA. Should we call for eternal war or should we find peaceful solutions.
Iranian regime calls for war as It has everything to gain. It is far from Israel leaving HA and Lebanon under the threat of war and destructions. Sanctions imposed by the West on Iran harm and weaken the Iranian people but as always makes the regime stronger. Tyrant regimes need a state of permanent aggression to impose a state of emergency so they can arrest all opponents and spend money on arms to fortify their grip on their people.
how do Christians with values of peace, liberty and love can side with regimes such as Iran and Syria.
