Cypriot Speaker Yiannakis Omirou is expected to arrive in Beirut on Monday to meet with senior officials for talks on enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, the state-run National News Agency said on Saturday.

Talks will also highlight ways to develop parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, NNA added.

Omirou will be visiting Beirut at the invitation of his counterpart Nabih Berri.

He is expected to meet with President Michel Suleiman, Prime Minister Najib Miqati and several religious and political officials on Monday.

Omirou will meet Suleiman at the Presidential Palace, Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour at his residence at the Le Gray Hotel, and later Miqati at the Grand Serail.

Omirou will then meet Berri who will host an official dinner in his honor at his Ain el-Tineh residence.

"Berri who will host an official dinner in his honor at his Ain el-Tineh residence". Of course....after the one for the Armenian president was so successful in re-uniting M14 with M8.

I'm curious if they were sitting on the same side of the table or if they had separate rooms for them.

But why not a speech at the Parliament? oh damm I forgot that trick didn't work.
