Palestinians fleeing the battleground between pro- and anti-regime forces at Yarmuk refugee camp in Damascus held a sit-in on Thursday near UNRWA office in al-Baddawi refugee camp in the northern city of Tripoli, demanding the organization to act responsibly towards their humanitarian crisis.

Protesters urged United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) “to act swiftly to implement a comprehensive emergency plan to aid the Palestinian refugees” fleeing the neighboring country Syria.

A similar sit-in was held inside the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr al-Bared north of Tripoli.

Refugees also called on the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) to help them by providing them with the required humanitarian aid and to press Lebanese authorities to swiftly resolve their conditions.

Until this week, around 10,000 Palestinians had fled from Syria to Lebanon, but since the latest violence another 3,000 had crossed the border or were in the process of crossing, UNRWA deputy chief of staff Lisa Gilliam said on Wednesday.

Expulse them toward Israel. Lebanon already paid a high price because of their presence, let them root in Hell

Whatever their suffering, and it is great, palestinians are the biggest problem of Lebanon, bigger than Israel, bigger than syria, more than the public debt, as big a problem as HA's weapons. We demand in the first place that they return their weapons. All their weapons. Then we demand their extradition to big rich countries that need labor. Instead of giving them payouts, let UNRWA find them lodging and jobs in Kansas city!!
