Military Tribunal Issues Arrest Warrants against Mamlouk, Col. Adnan over Samaha Case

W460

The Military Tribunal issued on Monday arrest warrants against two Syrian officials over their links to the case of former Minister Michel Samaha, reported the National News Agecny.

First Military Investigation Judge Riyad Abu Ghida issued the warrant against Syrian security chief Ali Mamlouk and a colonel identified only by his first name Adnan.

The investigation in the case has been complete and file will be referred to the military general prosecution, added NNA.

Samaha was arrested in August and charged with plotting to assassinate Lebanese leaders and of transporting explosives from Syria into Lebanon to carry out attacks in the country's north in an attempt to provoke sectarian strife at the behest of the Syrian regime.

Similar charges were leveled against Mamlouk and Colonel Adnan.

Unlike FT , I hate all extremist Muslims equally

Thumb Chupachups 04 February 2013, 14:35

A good Muslim is one that puts lebanon ahead of their religion... So Shia should support lebanon over Syria or Iran and Sunni should support lebanon over Saudi Arabia and FSA ... But nooooo, they always go for religion

Missing greatpierro 04 February 2013, 15:20

FT, accepting the orthodox law does not mean you like or not the christians. The orthodox law is very dangerous especially for the christians as it will lead to the Shia community requesting a 1/3 representation in parliament which is what the sunnis are afraid of. Second it leads to a drawback of democracy as it forces people to vote on a religious basis rather than on a national basis.
What really shocks me beyond this is the animosity of FPM supporters against the Sunnis. At the end of the day, we have to live side by side "en bonne intelligence". We cannot carry on attacking a whole community just because they are sunnis.

@Josh Not only are you a racist, but you're also a dimwit retard.... congratulations on the feat

I like how the FSA now ties into the whole Saudi Axis conversation. Trust me Error...if the Saudis or anyone us helped out the FSA with real arms, the Assads would be buried in your village by now.

You must be very stupid to make such comments. Ask those who lived during the siege of Achrafieh and Zahle by the Syrian army and you will find out wether the Syrian army has a culture of terror or not. Or else you may want to see what has happened in Hama in the eighties or what is going on right now.

Thumb andre.jabbour 04 February 2013, 15:22

Well done army. Now judge them and let them spit the truth.... Before hanging them if needed.

Now that the Lebanese justice has formally accused a Syrian general of plotting to carry terrorist attack on Lebanon, I would like to know what is position of M8 supporters on Syria. Do they still support a tyrannical regime now that we have more than tangible proofs of their aggression on Lebanon.

Thumb andre.jabbour 04 February 2013, 15:59

Freedom is important

Missing canadianadam 04 February 2013, 16:41

What is that position? Apparently defending Shia villages in Syria as a cover for really murdering civilians that threaten HAs masters.

I hope I havnt offended your allegiances FT and I truly hope your allegiances don't bring the wrath the free Syrians back to Lebanon...

Missing greatpierro 04 February 2013, 22:13

That is why a key m8 party ie HA has his militia involved up to the teeth in Syria and Aoun is saying nothing about it.
