Duraid Lahham Prevented from Filming in the North for Second Time

Syrian actor Duraid Lahham was prevented again on Saturday from shooting movie scenes in the northern port city of Tripoli, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The NNA said that several youths rallied near the building and banned the technical team accompanying Lahham from carrying on its work.
The actor didn't bicker with the protesters and complied calmly to their requests, it added, without giving further details.
In February, Lahham visited Internal Security Forces chief Maj. Gen. Ashraf Rifi, a day after he was forced out of a Qalamoun town in northern Lebanon over his support for the Syrian regime of President Bashar Assad.
He was shooting a movie scene at a villa in the area when several men chanting anti-Assad slogans asked the actor to leave the town.
ISF immediately interfered and Lahham left.
Lahham, a comedian and a director, is well-known for his acts under the nickname Ghawar al-Toushe.

The youtubes of the holly chocolate and sodomy for Jihad are examples of what is wrong with our Middle East in general and what might be afflicting Lebanon also if we are not careful. It is funny and sad to know that there are so many illiterates people hijacked by some zealot men of religion and programmed to wage wars and terror whose victims are mostly the peaceful and enlightened people. Instead of one group degrading another as to which one is worse (holly chocolate or sodommy for jihad) why don't we agree that both are absolutely terrible and must be kept out of Lebanon at all cost. Let our national identity prevail over our sect affiliation.

The fundamalist already started with hizbala openly fighting in Homs, you guys here are too late with your warnings, its only a matter of time and the violence will hit Lebanon harder just as Latakia today only looks calm..after Damascus falls all hell will break loose, the Syrian refugees are here to stay btw, and will eventually get arms. The amount of racism here is appalling. A lot of the people spewing hatred at other sects are ones who claim to be secular. Yes, there are extremist Sunnis. Yes, there are extremist Shias. That includes people from both sides of the Syrian conflict. The hate has just gotten worse and worse, and it needs to stop. This is what's wrong with Lebanon. Grow up, bring yourselves to the 21st century, if we're gonna bring our country forward by dialogue then this ridiculous racism and finger pointing needs to stop.
