Reports: Moussa Sadr Executed by Defected Group, Years after Gadhafi’s Order
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةA source revealed on Sunday that Libyan slain dictator Moammar Gadhafi's former spy chief Abdullah al-Senussi confessed that revered spiritual leader Moussa al-Sadr was not hanged right after Gadhafi’s order in late August 1978.
“Al-Sadr was held captive for two or three years at the headquarters of the Libyan military intelligence along with his two companions,” the source said quoting Senussi.
It added: “He was later handed over to a defected group lead by Palestinian national Sabri al-Banna who executed the death penalty order”.
“Al-Sadr was buried at the same location where this group resided”.
Senussi, who is according to the same source cooperating well with the investigators, expressed that Gadhafi “felt a pressure to hang the Lebanese cleric after campaigns accused him of hiding al-Sadr”.
“Staged attempts to make Gadhafi look like he left Libya to Rome by sending a lookalike did not succeed,” Senussi said, elaborating that this encouraged the Libyan dictator to order the killing of the three men.
Imam Sadr was invited to Tripoli by Gadhafi and was trying to negotiate an end to the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990), in which Palestinian factions were involved.
Gadhafi was believed to be shipping weapons to the Palestinians and other groups and Sadr, according to reports, was hoping to convince the Libyan leader to refrain from stoking the unrest in Lebanon.
But his visit to Tripoli along with his two aides took a sour turn after he got into a heated argument with Gadhafi who ordered that the three men be "taken away," according to an indictment against the slain Libyan leader issued by Lebanese authorities.
Gadhafi’s regime had stated that the three left Tripoli to Italy, which after conducting an investigation into the case denied the claims.
In 2004, the passports of Sadr and Yacoub were found in a hotel in Rome.
In August 2008, Lebanon issued arrest warrants against Gadhafi and some of his aides, accusing them of kidnapping Sadr and his companions.
Palestinians.... Mmmmmhhh someone is trying to create a strife between Shias and Sunni Palestinians maybe?
Who knows!
Ufft, im sick of tired of reading new "reports" about moussa sadr, one day he is alive, the next day he is dead, one day he was killed by kadaffis bodyguard the same day he arrived by accident, the next day he was held in a prison cell for 3 years and bla bla bla. Enough of these contradicting reports. Other than that, al sadr was sent to lebanon on iranian orders to start the project of getting hezballah to where it is today. Remember that it was the sadr's of the amal movement that created hezballah.
Honestly im more concerned of people getting killed today by reckless drivers, or by getting sent away from hospitals because they are poor and other ills happening right now.
RIP and hope that the truth will be found. One can also hope that all mothers, sisters, daughters who lost a dear one will have closure and their tormentors are prosectuted or shamed. The day that the killers of Musa Sho'iab are brought to justice is the day I believe that hope will come to Lebanon.
The imam is indeed in occulation and will return with the proof of Ages and with a halo over his head in pictures.
Time and time again, we never learn from history, our Lebanese politicians visit Syria, KSA, Iran, and Libya without any Lebanese state apparatus cover, we still operate with militia mind set and have the mentality that Lebanon is their farm. When a politician wish to visit a Country it must be under the state sponsorship otherwise you are on your own. State sponsorship means the local embassy will contact that state authority to provide security cover from/to destination.
Honorable Palestinian resistance that kills other Arabs like the resistance of Hizb Allah that kills more Arabs than Israelis
Your English is terrible mate!

Al kafi, hafez fought the plo remember? Besides, this sadr had no authority over the syrian muslims so why would his fatwa have any inpact. Lebanon was raped by everyone especially our lebanese factions.
Saad, speak for yourself. Mousa sadr was not even muslim according to islam, he believed in the kofr of shiaism so who respected him from the muslims? He was sent to lebanon to start the iranian project. His soul will be in hell.
Al sadr will burn in hell according to islam because he believed in things which God forbade us from.
