Independent MPs: We Will Coordinate Stance with March 14 to Agree on New Premier

Independent Christian March 14 MPs stressed on Tuesday the need to form a neutral government that can oversee the parliamentary elections.
They said after a meeting at MP Butros Harb's residence: “We will coordinate our stances with the March 14 camp in order to reach an agreement over a new prime minister who will form a neutral cabinet.”
The new government should also set as a priority reaching an agreement over a new parliamentary electoral law, they added.
They stressed the need to hold the elections on time or with a delay of a few months “in order to avoid the collapse of Lebanon's democratic system due to the dangerous vacuum.”
“Lebanon's enemies should not be allowed to complete their coup against the constitution, which will lead to the country's total destruction,” they noted.
Consultations are ongoing between various political parties in Lebanon in order to reach an agreement over a new prime minister who will be tasked with forming a new government.
Binding parliamentary consultations over this issue will take place on April 5 and 6.
The cabinet resigned on March 22 over its failure to agree on forming the authority to oversee the parliamentary elections and extending the term of Internal Security Forces chief Ashraf Rifi, who stepped down from his post on Saturday after reaching the retirement age.

the problem is that iran and its valets does not want elections, thus their requirement for a cabinet representative of all parties, which they call salvation cabinet :)
there is no salvation with the valets of iran and the Syrian regime.
what is funny is these are the same people who toppled the salvation cabinet of Hariri and excluded the sunnis from proper representation in the cabinet for 2 years, to return asking for a new salvation cabinet.
that shows their failures :)

I thought when you insult people you support it with facts? These "stooges" as you label them are the biggest thorn in Aoun's side. Otherwise you wouldn't spend so much time smearing them. If they are idiots then why are you constantly peppering every article they are mentioned in with insults? tell me something FT, when was the last time Butrous Harb lost an election?

Pretty sure calling some an idiot is an insult but then again to admit that would be to contradict yourself from a few posts ago so you chose to muddy the waters in order not be wrong.
They are independent because they don't belong to a political party such as orangina, HA, LF, etc. They are part of the M14 umbrella. Just like orangina, HA, Amal are part of the M8 umbrella but are associated to their own political party. Maybe that helps you understand why they are call M14 independents. Hence it’s not false advertising, it is just you helping aoun with a smear campaign against good people that are willing to do the right/unpopular thing. We need more people like them to get rid of the old sectarian dinosaurs.

The_raor- the last time I checked, Sunnis are Lebanese and have the right to vote for whomever they choose. I don't know why we have to force sectarianism down people's throat. Let’s not kid ourselves; Harb has never needed help winning in that area. After all, he didn't get the term forever politician by my FPM freinds (yes, I do have friends that are ounists) for winning one election that was bought by harriri as you claim. If you actually look it up, Boutros Harb is probably the longest serving member of parliament.
