Lebanese Option Party Commemorates Death of Hashem al-Salman in Front of Iranian Embassy
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةThe Lebanese Option Party staged a rally in front of the Iranian Embassy in the Bir Hassan area south of Beirut on Sunday.
The rally was held in memory of the death of party member Hashem al-Salman during a demonstration in front of the embassy two weeks ago.
Tens of supporters of the party, civil society activists, and members of Salman's family arrived in front of the embassy where they laid flowers near the facility.
The supporters then sang the Lebanese national anthem before leaving the scene.
The rally was held amid the heavy deployment of the army.
On June 9, Salman was killed and at least eleven others were wounded in a scuffle between supporters of Hizbullah and protesters near the Iranian Embassy in Beirut.
The demonstrators were holding a sit-in near the embassy to protest Hizbullah's involvement in the war raging in Syria.
The Lebanese Option Party is led by the March 14 Shiite politician Ahmed Asaad.
Salman's martyrdom permitted to show the world that some chiites of Lebanon are peace loving individuals and are against HA's policy of dragging lebanon into every single cause in the region and creating wars right left and center.
Salman stood unarmed for what he beleived in and was killed by the party of weapons for voicing his opinion. For that he is a martyr.
The fact that Salman was a chiite standing against the party of weapons makes him a greater martyr. And the fact that he stood courageously next to the despicable iranian embassy makes him a yet greater martyr.
Salman's martyrdon will probably prevent indiscriminate retaliatory attack against chiites. For that, he is a hero.
RIP young man, we hope that your sacrifice helps Lebanon.
Bravo pour cet hommage posthume.
In fact Salman martyrdom shows how fragile is Lebanon. While we all Lebanese want the same thing i.e. living in a prosperous country peacefully with all the different communities we have been so criminally forbidden to do that by Syria and now by Iran.
And of course the LAF can not be trusted. I told you already "you are not a true Lebanese". You are Shi3a first, HA second, and Lebanese 3rd (or should I say last?)
The man said on MTV: I want to Pasdarans in Lebanon. God bless this true patriotic shia. I wish all of them were like him.
