Report: Hizbullah Boosts Security after Several Attacks

Hizbullah raised its security to the maximum, a move that came in light of a series of attacks that targeted its strongholds and its fighters, al-Joumhouria newspaper reported on Thursday.

According to the report, the move helped the party to uncover a number of “dormant cells” and several plots that aim at breaching its ranks.

Sources told the newspaper the upcoming stage is expected to witness an increase in security attacks, stressing that Hizbullah will not remain mum over the issue.

On Tuesday, a roadside bomb blast targeted a Syria-bound Hizbullah convoy in eastern Lebanon near the Masnaa border crossing.

It was the fourth time that a vehicle has been targeted by an explosive device in the Bekaa region, which is a Hizbullah stronghold.

At least 53 people were wounded in an explosion that was caused by a booby-trapped vehicle in Bir al-Abed in Beirut's southern suburbs.

Hizbullah has dispatched fighters to battle alongside the Syrian regime against rebels seeking the overthrow of President Bashar Assad.

The conflict, pitting a Sunni-dominated rebel movement against Assad, whose Alawite faith is an offshoot of Shiite Islam, has raised sectarian tensions in Lebanon.

...and the "ASSad" regime has fallen about 6,582 times already. Right? Keep dem stupidities coming, ya train.

Is the ASSad regime your regime itzhak? What a proud Lebanese you are.

Thumb Roaring-FlameThrower 18 July 2013, 08:28

Yes, it is only natural for the Islamic Secular Resistance in Lebanon to boost its security measures as it is constantly being targeted by the Talibani-Israeli-Takfiri alliance. As a true Lebanese, I am so proud that our Telecom Ministry is and has been sharing all telecom data with the resistance to trace any suspicious activities and communication. I also request our government to allocate immediate emergency funds to build modern "detention", "interrogation", and water boarding "torture" centers for those apprehended by the resistance as Dahieh alone can no longer share the burden of accommodating the increasing number of terrorists.

Thumb _mowaten_ 18 July 2013, 12:26

empty claims RFT, you hide under the veil of sarcasm, but it's still dishonesty to imply lies.
no, there was no telecom data sharing between the ministry and the resistance. and no, the are no detention centers nor water boarding "torture" centers in dahieh, you must be confusing with bagram, abou graib or guantanamo...
you know, those places brought to you by the beacon of civilization, democracy and moral righteousness.

how the hell would i know? and moreover, how the hell would YOU know where he is?
by what right do you accuse HA of having him? just because he disappeared and nobody knows where he is doesn't mean it's a "pin-it-on-anyone-of-your-choice" crime. could be mossad who abducted him because they needed inside info on the airport (i believe Sader was and IT engineer, maybe they used him to hack into the surveillance systems, maybe he was a spy and they "evacuated him" using a mise en scene, god knows)

mowaten,
You have shown great concern about the disappearance of a co-patriot of yours from day one (especially it happened in the stronghold of your favorite militia), this is what prompted viber-bite to ask you about his whereabouts. You are concerned about the fate of Mr. Sader, aren't you?

As per my information 4 more booby trapped cars have been caught.
it is going to intensify by the day.....

Kiddingly, I suppose that's good news. Cars are expensive you know, so the more they catch 'em the better.

Cut down on your hash intake! Making a public statement, huh! Puff.

"Hezbollah is making a public statement, that it is indeed a state within the state"

... seriously Phoenix? where did you see such a statement?

they are being targeted with suicide bombings and the FSA/nusra is carrying out assassinations inside Lebanon, all this while the ISF lets fath el islam members "escape" from roumieh.. what are they supposed to do? decrease their security level?

Thumb Senescence 18 July 2013, 15:11

the1phoenix, might you be ever so kind as to explain what these 'debts' to Syria are that HA has ?

Also, I remember apo(?).australia thanking you for some videos you posted of Bachir. Might you post them again for me to watch?

Thumb _mowaten_ 18 July 2013, 15:37

Phoenix, I respect your views and just so you know, I never downvoted you. I often upvote you when I agree, but i abstain when I dont, because I respect your views and the way you defend them, which are always intelligent and respectful.
I however beg to differ here, as i believe the claims that HA joined the regime forces two years ago were pure propaganda, spread by the takfiris and their FSA whitewash to:
1- get the "sunni street" to join them (when your sect represents 80% of the population the ideal scenario for you is to everything make it sectarian and get tehm involved)
2- justify their openly announced intention to "slaughter alawis and shias" (remember their song? that was very early in the crisis)

Thumb _mowaten_ 18 July 2013, 15:38

also, i believe that HA was dragged into the war through increasing provocations
-kidnappings of pilgrims
-attacks on holy sites
-massacres in mainly shia border villages
-rocket attacks on hermel
-heavy concentration of fighters in quseyr, right above HA's stronghold which were becoming a more and more serious and imminent threat

kindly remember that from the start SHN was saying that the only exit would be through implementing just reforms and negotiation between oppenents and regime, he did not take a firm stance in favor of the regime until he was forced to...

Thumb _mowaten_ 18 July 2013, 15:42

sorry, didnt re-read myself before posting, i meant:
"to do* everything to* make it sectarian"

Missing helicopter 18 July 2013, 19:26

mowaten,
HA believes in action, not words. HA's actions speak for themselves. They are already a state within a state and they are working diligently to become the state uncontested.

geha has been warning of this since the day HA declared openly their intervention in Syria.
I am sure HA officials are able to predict things even better than geha, which leads me to believe that they knew it will happen, they want it to happen because it serves their purpose of causing chaos in Lebanon which promotes their agenda as they are the strongest and most organized group. It helps them achieve their goal of becoming the state and hence an ismlaic republic that is part of welayat elfaqih and its supreme leader alkhameni

"dragging alonside its sunni opponents" First phoenix, you mean to tell me that lebanese sunni fighters in syria are there because of HA, were these fighters not participating in the syrian conflict long before HA involvement, furthermore, when did Nasrallah ever accuse the sunni sect of being opponents. One last thing, i will tell this over and over, HA is there to bolster the state contrary to your opinion.
