General Security Base in Arida Reopens
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةThe General Security base at al-Arida border crossing in the North was on Thursday reopened and traffic was back to normal, four days after coming under attack by angry residents.
The General Directorate of the General Security Department said Wednesday that it was still investigating the attack under the supervision of the military prosecution.
The border post was closed on Monday for repair works after the computer system suffered malfunctions over the attack with stones that smashed the windows of the base and nearby vehicles.
The angry residents also vandalized the office after a Syrian man was killed while trying to enter Lebanon from the nearby Grand River.
The man, who was allegedly fleeing the violence in Syria, was shot dead by Syrian security forces.
