Report: March 14 General Secretariat to Hold Weekly Meeting at Airport
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةThe March 14 General Secretariat will hold its upcoming meeting at Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport, al-Joumhouria newspaper reported on Monday.
According to the report, several members proposed the venue of the upcoming meeting to be at the airport similar to the previous meetings held in several areas across Lebanon.
The suggestion comes in light of the kidnapping of two Turkish pilots on the airport road over the weekend.
The newspaper said that the meeting will address airport security and the case of the abducted pilgrims in Syria's Aazaz.
In July, the March 14 General Secretariat decided to hold its weekly meeting in different areas across Lebanon with the aim of decreasing the sectarian tension.
The decision came in light of the moving security incidents across Lebanon, to express the coalition's decision to hold onto the power of the state and its unity.
A Turkish pilot and co-pilot were kidnapped by gunmen on Friday on the airport road.
The attack prompted Turkey to issue a travel warning urging its citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to Lebanon and those already present in the country to leave.
The relatives of the pilgrims held in Aazaz were quick to deny having any links to the abduction.
Eleven pilgrims were kidnapped in Syria's Aleppo region in May 2012 as they were making their way back to Lebanon by land from pilgrimage in Iran.
Two of them have since been released, while the rest remain in Aazaz.
Their relatives have held Turkey responsible for their ongoing abduction.
They have repeatedly vowed to take action against Turkish interests in Lebanon in order to pressure Ankara to release the captives.
You too shall soon become "guests" of the "environment" of the resistance and Jumhour al muqawame' or blown up to pieces while reaching the Ali Khamaenei International Airport.
If you remove the big leaders that went through deadly sacrifices, then the terrorists that assassinated them by the dozen win.
They'll let younger generations take over the leadership once justice has been served, and the terrorist militia(s) neutralized.
And what has the Turks got to do with the Lebanese pilgrims. They are only accused of not being able to convince the Syrian kidnappers to release the pilgrims. That does not seem a good reason to kidnap Turks in Beirut. That is an unlawful act that unfortunately m8 supporters and leaders are justifying rather then condemning. This act hits the reputation and the economy of Lebanon which is already badly impacted by terrorist hizbullah acts.
