Pro-Israel Group Backs Obama to Send 'Forceful Message' to Iran, Hizbullah
America's biggest pro-Israel groups are throwing their weight behind President Barack Obama's plan for U.S. military intervention in Syria.
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, known as AIPAC, said Tuesday that congressional authorization for strikes against Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime would ensure that what it called "barbarism on a mass scale" does not go unanswered.
In a statement it said military action would send a message to Assad's supporters — Iran and Hizbullah— that U.S. won't tolerate use of weapons of mass destruction.
“This is a critical moment when America must also send a forceful message of resolve to Iran and Hizbullah -- both of whom have provided direct and extensive military support to Assad,” it said.
“The Syrian regime and its Iranian ally have repeatedly demonstrated that they will not respect civilized norms. That is why America must act, and why we must prevent further proliferation of unconventional weapons in this region,” it said.
The Anti-Defamation League also supports Obama.
Its statement cited "significant national security interests" at stake and said the U.S. has a moral imperative to act.
AIPAC wields significant influence in Congress, which is expected to vote on authorizing use of force against Syria.

1) Alright, I'll readily agree with you that what the Palestinians have suffered under the Israeli governments nobody should suffer, and that their plight is indeed painful to just think about, so I cannot imagine what it must be like for so many to actually live it. And moreover, the non-Aryan races finally got some reprieve from Hitler after 11 years of ongoing suffering, while the Palestinians' suffering is now into its third generation (that's 65 years with their heads under water!), with no realistic end to it in sight. I get it, and my comment was not meant in any way to belittle their suffering. However, I would object that you put all Jews together for the crimes that are ordered by the few people who ultimately rise to power in Israel.

They once condemned one British soldier to a year in prison, but that was just for show ("See? We're not biased! Now let's get back to our Africans."). And Third, Israel - just like Lebanon, for that matter - do not fall under the jurisdiction of the ICCt (when Sharon was threatened with an indictment Israel had only signed but not ratified the treaty, making it not legally binding; it has since then informed the ICCt that it will not seek membership).

Palestinians should apply for compensation, just like what the Jews did with Germany !
They should also have the right to go back at the very least to the West Bank & have the the right to claim an apartment that has been built illegally by the Israelis including the illegally built settlements villages ! All Jewish settlers should vacate immediately & relocate in Israel. Now this is what I call a real peace deal talks & maybe we all should think hard about Recognising the state of Israel ! How good that would be for the region & for World Peace ? Tourism would jump up a million fold !

Their compensation claims can be easily offset by the compensation claims of the 800,000 Jews who were expelled from all the Arab States from 1948 onwards.
Who exactly is living in the houses left behind by the Jews who were expelled from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, of and yes Lebanon. Who exactly is operating the companies left behind in these countries, who has got their hands on the bank accounts, the cars, etc etc.
As far as their return to the West Bank, don't you think that someone should ask Abu Mazen (President Abbas) if he is willing for all the refugees from 1948 (there can't be more that 5,000 left), and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren can be resettled in the West Bank, making those Palestinians who didn't run away in 1948, into a minority in their homeland.

No one forced the Jews away from Lebanon, do you know how many they were ? Not many for a start . But regardless they are still more than welcome to come back & claim their properties.
Secondly, currently there are Jews till this very day that live in Iran , they certainly are treated well & with respect !
Thirdly there are also Jews living in Alexandria Egypt.
Fourthly , in Morocco, Jews are also living among the Arabs.
But why don't you Jews in Israel allow ALL PALESTINIANS REFUGEES that you forcibly kicked out allow them to return to their homeland, whether it is their children or grand children or great grand children ? They do have the same right of inheritance as you Jews do , don't they ?
It seems with your attitude that reflects the majority of your people has no justice at all , so therefore in turn there shall never be a pleasure of peace upon you or you children , grand children or even great great grand children !

@asaf you know your government will now be very much involved if the US decides to strike. Just yesterday they had a drill together launching missiles over the mediterranean. In any case i am more interested in your opinion about what is going on in the Palestinian case because it is affecting all surrounding countries or has been affecting them since the 50's. We've come to this point in the middle east because of the unrest Israel has created. The determination on their behalf to ethnically cleanse the region is shameful.

The borders of Israel are amongst those decisions which must come out of the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks which are now going on. Once the borders are finalised you will find that all the Jewish settlers are within the recognised boundaries of Israel.
Not only tourism would jump, what about the economy.
Once the other states recognise the State of Israel, then many things will improve all over. A good example would be just like in the West Bank, Lebanon would have electricity 24 hours a day. Lebanon would start working their natural gas fields both for internal use and also for export. The Turks for instance are already talking to the Israeli concerning the export of gas from the Leviatan field to Turkey, imagine what a bonanza this would be to the Lebanese economy if their gas could also flow through that pipeline.

The simple reason for that is the statements, time after time of President Abbas that after peace and the establishment of the State of Palestine, not a single Jew would be allowed to live there.
