Shehayeb: We Had Reservations on Use of ‘in Principle’ in STL Clause

National Struggle Front MP Akram Shehayeb stated on Thursday that the new majority proved many sides wrong when it formed a government.

He said during the parliament session to discuss the cabinet policy statement: “We question the release of the indictment in the Special Tribunal for Lebanon simultaneously with the release of the policy statement.”

“We did have reservations on the term ‘in principle’ in the STL clause, but we still want to achieve justice and exit the vicious circle we’ve been running in for years,” he declared.

“This is a government for all Lebanese,” he stated.

“We should put an end to accusations of treasons and others of spite and vengeance,” the MP said.

“We called for dialogue to address the people’s concerns, maintain peace, and avert strife and we should all work on maintaining Lebanon’s historic path of freedom and equality,” Shehayeb said.

“We have stressed the importance of stability and justice and that civil peace is more important than all else,” the MP added.

Furthermore, he stressed that National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblat’s positions helped save Lebanon from several dangers.

He concluded by granting the cabinet confidence.

"this is a government for all Lebanese", he stated. What a hypocrite!!! There is more than half the lebanese not represented in this government. Are the Sunnis and Maronites fairly represented in this government? Who did the Sunnis vote for as their representatives? People like this man insult our intelligence, so please spare us your Verbal Diarrhea......

Shehayeb, we are tired of you, Joumblat, Murr, and all those thugs who change sides like the wind, have no moral values, no ethics, no honor, no pride, zero self esteem. If I was you, I would shut up, stay in my corner and focus in not attracting any attention. Shame on you!

The vilains have been caught the hand in the bag this time. Those who know the tale of the chaperon rouge can easly draw the parallel.it is mind blowing to think that after so much (so it is assumed) hard evidence and scientific and forensic proofs have been accumulated, they can just be brushed away so easily with video game clips, that are not even offered to the other party to examine. That people are prepared to believe what is at best a spy case and pssibly misleading unfounded and unchecked material is even more puzzling. Of course then, one is tempted to think those guys knew long befpre many what no one suspected , not even Walid Joumblat.A refresher, looking back at all those hot air balloons, and unexplicable behaviour, would be much better understood in light of what we know today. And that's probably just the tip of the iceberg....

I just wish Jumblat has listened to Akram Chehayeb and co. rather than to Ghazi Aridi, Walid's prematurely Jumbing to one side cost the country dearly.

HH - The problem is that his hands were tied, it was the only way that didn't cost his people any blood from the yellow flagged turban bearing folks.
