Iran says to start rebuilding homes, facilities damaged in Israel strikes

Iran said Tuesday it had begun efforts to rebuild residential areas and public infrastructure damaged in Israeli strikes over 12 days.

"We witnessed attacks on residential areas, as well as on scientific centres, research institutes, healthcare facilities and civilians... therefore we are facing a major task ahead in terms of reconstruction," government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani told state TV, adding that the authorities have begun to assess the extent of the damage.

Oil falls further as Trump says China can continue to buy Iranian oil

Gaza rescuers say Israeli forces killed 46 people waiting for aid

Gaza's civil defense agency said Israeli forces killed 25 people waiting for aid in the south of the Palestinian territory in the second such incident on Tuesday, bringing the number of aid seekers killed to 46.

Civil defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal told AFP that 25 people were killed and dozens wounded when "Israeli forces targeted civilian gatherings near Al-Alam and Al-Shakoush areas with bullets and tank shells as they attempted to reach an aid center in northwest Rafah, about two kilometers from a U.S.-backed aid distribution point."

Mediator Qatar working on resuming Gaza ceasefire talks

Mediator Qatar’s said Tuesday it was working on resuming Gaza ceasefire talks in days, urging Israel not to exploit a truce with Iran to "unleash everything it wants to unleash" on the blockaded strip.

"We are still continuing our efforts, and God willing, we will try to look for an opportunity during the next two days for having indirect negotiations between the two parties... We hope that the Israeli side will not exploit the ceasefire with Iran to unleash what it wants to unleash on Gaza and continue its bombing of" the strip, said Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani during a joint press conference with his Lebanese counterpart.

Israeli drone strike kills 3 in Nabatieh's Kfar Dajjal

The health ministry said an Israeli strike killed three people Tuesday in the country’s south, the latest such raid despite a November ceasefire.

"The strike launched by an Israeli enemy drone on a vehicle" in the Nabatieh district town of Kfar Dajjal "resulted in the death of three people", the ministry said in a statement carried by the official National News Agency.
