Mediator Qatar working on resuming Gaza ceasefire talks

Mediator Qatar’s said Tuesday it was working on resuming Gaza ceasefire talks in days, urging Israel not to exploit a truce with Iran to "unleash everything it wants to unleash" on the blockaded strip.

"We are still continuing our efforts, and God willing, we will try to look for an opportunity during the next two days for having indirect negotiations between the two parties... We hope that the Israeli side will not exploit the ceasefire with Iran to unleash what it wants to unleash on Gaza and continue its bombing of" the strip, said Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani during a joint press conference with his Lebanese counterpart.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said Tuesday that they had taught Israel an "unforgettable lesson" with a last-minute missile salvo fired just before a ceasefire deal announced by U.S. President Donald Trump was meant to take effect.

The Guards said in a statement that "in the final moments before the ceasefire was imposed on the enemy", they had struck "military and logistical centers of the Zionist regime across the occupied territories (Israel) with 14 missiles, delivering a historic and unforgettable lesson to the Zionist enemy".

Turkish airline Pegasus has scrapped flights to Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon until June 30, and Iran until July 30, as global airlines suspended or reduced flights in the Middle East amid the Israel-Iran conflict.

Flights of Air France's low-cost carrier Transavia from Paris to Beirut have also been suspended until June 30 while the Tel Aviv route is closed until September 7.

Putin says 'unprovoked aggression' on Tehran 'unjustified'

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday slammed strikes on Tehran as "unprovoked aggression" and said Moscow was trying to help the Iranian people as he hosted Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Moscow.
