Kurdish security forces in northeast Syria said an Islamic State group attack killed three personnel on Sunday, as the jihadists keep up their attacks in Kurdish-controlled areas of the war-torn country.
Noting "escalating activity" by the jihadists, a statement from the Asayish security forces said an IS cell "targeted a patrol" from the force's convoy and road security department on the Raqa-Hasakeh road.

Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani on Sunday condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon as he hosted Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, on his first visit to Baghdad since taking office.

Lebanon's health ministry has said that Israeli strikes on the country's south killed two people, as the Israeli army said it targeted Hezbollah members in the latest raids despite a ceasefire.
The ministry said an "Israeli enemy" strike targeted a motorcycle in Arnoun, a village in the Nabatiyeh region about five kilometers from the Israeli border, killing one person.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived Monday in Vilnius for a summit with the leaders of NATO's eastern and Nordic members, some of Kyiv's staunchest backers amid the Russian invasion.

Tehran called on Washington to provide a formal guarantee that it will lift sanctions imposed on Iran in ongoing talks on the Islamic republic's nuclear program.
