Robin van Persie ushered Manchester United into the Champions League quarterfinals — and potentially saved his manager's job — with a hat-trick in a 3-0 victory over Olympiakos that completed one of the competition's greatest comebacks on Wednesday.

Cheerios Get No Lift from GMO Switch

Plain old Cheerios are no longer made with genetically modified ingredients, but the switch hasn't yet translated to a boost in sales.

General Mills, the company that makes the cereal, in January announced it would start making its plain Cheerios without GMOs, or genetically modified organisms. The move came after a campaign by the group Green America, which prompted fans to express their support on the Cheerios' Facebook page.

Train Crashes into Minibus in Turkey, 10 Dead

A commuter train smashed into a minibus on a railway track in southern Turkey on Thursday, killing 10 people and injuring several others.

The bus, which was carrying workers to an industrial zone in the Mediterranean province of Mersin, was hit because the driver proceeded to cross the track "carelessly", the private Dogan News Agency reported, citing witnesses.

LeBron James scored 43 points — 25 in a bewildering first-quarter shooting display — and Chris Bosh added 21 to lead the Miami Heat to a 100-96 win Tuesday over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who played their first game without injured All-Star guard Kyrie Irving.

James added two crucial blocks and made six free throws in the final two minutes and Bosh added a key rejection to lead the Heat to just their third win in eight games.
