Al-Jazeera YouTube Channel Airs Satirical Video about U.S.

A video posted on an Al-Jazeera YouTube channel over the Fourth of July weekend mocks Americans for dubious "achievements" in obesity, pornography production and gun ownership.

The satirical item, under two minutes long, was produced out of San Francisco by a digital arm of the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera news network. It has not been seen on television, including on the beleaguered Al-Jazeera America channel.

'Inside Out' Edges 'Jurassic' to Top N. American Box Office

Animated flick "Inside Out" edged out "Jurassic World" to top the North American box office over the weekend with a solid $29.8 million in ticket sales, figures released Monday showed.

The Pixar film features the voice of comedian Amy Poehler and follows young Riley as her emotions of joy, fear, anger, disgust and sadness battle it out internally as she copes with a move to a new city.

'Ocean's Eleven' Producer Jerry Weintraub Dead at 77

Hollywood producer Jerry Weintraub, who made the "Ocean's Eleven" movies and managed artists including Frank Sinatra, has died aged 77, a spokeswoman said Monday.

George Clooney and former U.S. president George H.W. Bush were among the first to mourn Weintraub, whose credits also included "Diner," "The Karate Kid" and 1998's "The Avengers."

Embattled U.S. comedian Bill Cosby admitted having drugged at least one woman with Quaaludes to have sex with her, in court documents unsealed Monday.

Cosby, accused of sexual assault by some 30 women over decades but who has so far escaped justice, made the admission in a deposition in 2005, talking about an incident from 1976.

Leonard Nimoy's Son Makes Spock Documentary to Honor Father

Adam Nimoy has found a way to spend countless hours with his late father Leonard Nimoy: He's creating a documentary for the actor who played Spock on "Star Trek."

Nimoy said the "Spockumentary" funded through a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $600,000 will focus on the pop icon and his legacy. The TV director and film professor said it would explore his father's life onscreen and off-screen.
