Handwritten Godard 'Contempt' Script Sells for 144,000 Euros

A unique handwritten script for French-Swiss filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard's New Wave classic "Contempt" has sold at auction for 144,300 euros ($186,800), seller Artcurial said Wednesday.

The 1963 script, made up of 59 pages written by Godard, sold on Tuesday for well above its estimate of between 60,000 and 80,000 euros.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives are investigating Justin Bieber for reckless driving after witnesses — including former National Football League star Keyshawn Johnson — complained about the pop-star's alleged freeway speeds in their gated community in north Los Angeles County.

Movie Review: The Hangover Part III (2013)

When the original Hangover came out back in 2009, it was an instant smash. People fell in love with the wolfpack and their drunken antics, and propelled the movie to a $277 million box office haul in the US alone. Two years later, Part II was released and was met with much less enthusiasm. Although it still printed money, people thought it was just a lazy rehash of the original, something that Part III hopes to address. While "The Hangover Part III" has some laughs and poignant character moments, it feels a little subdued for a trilogy capper.
