Dutch 'Dark Blood' Director George Sluizer Dead at 82

Dutch director George Sluizer, best known for making the last movie featuring Hollywood actor River Phoenix, has died in Amsterdam after a long illness, Dutch media reported on Monday. He was 82.

"Sluizer had been ill for a long time. In 2007 he barely survived a ruptured artery and after that his health remained fragile," Dutch public broadcaster the NOS said, quoting relatives.

'Maze Runner' Races Past 'Tombstones' With $32.5M

Brussels Chocolate Museum Opens to Sweeten Senses

It likes to call itself the "country of chocolate" and now Belgium has a new treat for visitors: a museum dedicated to the confectionary featuring a Willy Wonka-style factory and cocoa tree jungle.

Chocolate is a national treasure in Belgium. It is home to such illustrious brands as Godiva, Neuhaus, Leonidas and Cote d'Or. And the museum opening Saturday, in a former chocolate factory in the capital Brussels, will showcase its love of the brown stuff.

Angelina Jolie is to direct a "sweeping epic" film about veteran Kenyan conservationist Richard Leakey's fight with ivory poachers, the studio behind the movie said Friday.

The Oscar-winning actress -- whose latest film as director, "Unbroken," is out in December -- will go behind the camera once again for "Africa," with a screenplay by another Oscar winner, Eric Roth.

Police say Grammy-nominated R&B singer Keyshia Cole has been arrested on suspicion of battery after an altercation early Friday morning in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police officer Nuria Vanegas says Cole was arrested around 5 a.m. after someone initiated a private person's arrest. The 32-year-old was booked on suspicion of battery and released from custody Friday afternoon.

Sophia Loren, almost 80, Opens Life Exhibit in Mexico

Italian film legend Sophia Loren inaugurated Thursday an exhibition in Mexico showing off personal treasures including glamorous dresses, silk purses and her Oscar, to mark her upcoming 80th birthday.

The trove, which includes jewelry, high-heel shoes and portraits of the diva, is being displayed at the Soumaya Museum of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim in Mexico City.
