Less high-profile but more durable than some of their Britpop rivals, Stereophonics are back with their ninth studio album which harks back to their roots in a small Welsh mining village.

Steven Sheerer, 25, is accused of having inappropriate online communications with 17-year-old Chelsea O'Donnell. He "knowingly distributed obscene images to a minor ... specifically a nude photo over the Internet," the complaint said.

Police were investigating claims on Monday that controversial Hollywood star Mel Gibson allegedly shoved and verbally abused an Australian photographer during an angry altercation.

Kristi Miller, a news photographer with Sydney's Daily Telegraph, said she had taken two pictures of Gibson leaving a cinema in the city with Rosalind Ross, 24, on Sunday evening when the actor aggressively confronted her.

Hollywood star Hugh Jackman revealed Monday he will return to the stage in a personal show in Australia inspired by his successful Broadway performances.

Dr. Dre has issued a statement to the New York Times apologizing to "the women I've hurt" without specifically acknowledging the reason for the apology.
