Valentines Dates Set for '50 Shades' Film Sequels

The two sequels to racy bondage flick "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be released just in time for Valentine's Day in 2017 and 2018, like this year's first movie, filmmakers announced Thursday.

"Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" will be released on February 10, 2017, and February 9, 2018, respectively, according to the announcement at the CinemaCon conference in Las Vegas.

'Fast and Furious 8' Set for 2017 Release

Sawyer Sweeten, known for his role as one of twin sons in the U.S. sitcom "Everybody loves Raymond," committed suicide on Thursday aged 19, U.S. media reported.

"This morning a terrible family tragedy has occurred," Sweeten's sister Madylin said in a statement, according to the showbiz publication Variety.

Officials say a pair of Elton John's heart-shaped glasses has been stolen from a display case at a Memphis museum.

Memphis police said Wednesday the glasses were taken from the Memphis Rock n' Soul Museum. Officers were called to the museum on Tuesday night, when employees noticed the glasses were missing.

Sony Announces Animated Spider-Man from 'Lego Movie' Team

Sony Pictures announced plans for an animated "Spider-Man" feature from the "Lego Movie" writing/directing team of Christopher Miller and Phil Lord on Wednesday at CinemaCon. But the beleaguered studio failed to address the elephant in the room for the audience of theater owners at the annual conference: "The Interview."

In December, amid the hack on Sony and perceived terrorist threats, the major theater chains decided not to show "The Interview" in their theaters. In a statement, Regal Entertainment Group referenced the "wavering support" of Sony in Regal's decision not to show the film. Ultimately, Sony orchestrated a day-and-date release for the film, and it maintained the position that exhibition of the film was the sole decision of the theater owners.
