Mary Richardson Kennedy, the 52-year-old estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr, has died, her family said Wednesday, in what local media called an apparent suicide at her home in suburban New York.

"We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her," the Richardson family said in a statement sent to Agence France Presse by their attorney.

A male masseur who accused John Travolta of sexual battery has withdrawn a lawsuit, his lawyer said Tuesday, as the star's attorney vowed a similar second legal action would also fail.

Canadian Actress Denies Stalking Alec Baldwin

A little-known Canadian actress on Monday denied stalking "30 Rock" star Alec Baldwin, her lawyer saying she had "legitimate" reasons to try to contact him.

"My client had a legitimate purpose within the meaning of the law for her efforts to contact Mr. Baldwin," attorney Maurice Sercarz said after a brief pretrial court hearing attended by the accused, Genevieve Sabourin, in New York.
