Bobby Brown is leaving a reunion tour with the group New Edition to focus on his health.

A spokeswoman for the R&B group said group members Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant wish the 45-year-old singer a speedy recovery. No other details were provided.

When Rise of the Planet of the Apes came out in 2011, no one was actually expecting it to be any good. Boy were we wrong. The film was not only good; it was brilliant. Thanks to state-of-the-art motion capture technology, as well as a compelling narrative with something to say about society, the Planet of the Apes universe was given a new lease on life. But we all know how challenging it can be to craft a good sequel, let alone a superior one, which is why I was completely blown away by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Not only is it a spectacular science fiction film, it’s one of the greatest and most impressive sequels I have ever had the privilege of witnessing.

Hollywood star George Clooney on Friday rejected an apology from Britain's Daily Mail over a story claiming his fiancee's mother opposes the couple's upcoming marriage, accusing the tabloid of cover-up.

Redford to Play Anchor in Film about CBS Fallout

Robert Redford will play Dan Rather in a film about the former CBS anchor's disputed report about President George W. Bush's National Guard service.

The film, titled "Truth," will be adapted from the memoir "Truth And Duty: The Press, The President, And The Privilege Of Power" by former CBS producer Mary Mapes, said the production company, Mythology Entertainment. Cate Blanchett is signed on to play Mapes.

Queen Latifah, Beyonce and Jay Z Heading to HBO

Beyonce and Jay Z will co-star in an HBO concert special, and Queen Latifah will play legendary blues singer Bessie Smith in a movie for the network.

The music special will feature the married couple on their "On the Run Tour" performing in Paris. It will tape Sept. 12 and 13 at the Stade de France, featuring the superstars performing more than 40 songs, the network announced. It will air in September.

French Author Loses Slander Case against Scarlett Johansson

A French court rejected a case brought against Scarlett Johansson by an author who accused the Hollywood star of slander after she called him a "pervert", according to a written decision seen by Agence France Presse Thursday.

This is the second ruling made over the past eight days involving the actress and Gregoire Delacourt, whose book "The First Thing We Look At" tells the story of a Johansson look-a-like who is treated as a sex object but finds love with a mechanic who resembles "a better version" of Canadian actor Ryan Gosling.
