"The Hangover" star Bradley Cooper will appear as Lucifer in a movie version of the classic poem "Paradise Lost" to be filmed in Sydney.

The government of New South Wales, where Sydney is located, announced Wednesday that the movie will be directed by Australian Alex Proyas, who also directed "I, Robot" starring Will Smith and "Knowing" with Nicholas Cage.

Belarus has banned the radio broadcast of several popular Russian songs with dissident undertones amid protests against the regime of the President Alexander Lukashenko, sources said on Tuesday.

The son of Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour was jailed for sixteen months on Friday for an alcohol and drugs-fuelled attack on Prince Charles' convoy during a student riot in London last year.

Charlie Gilmour, 21, had pleaded guilty to violent disorder in May but was granted bail until Friday's hearing at Kingston Crown Court in southwest London in order to complete his exams at Cambridge University.
