Iran on Thursday expressed that Hizbullah's involvement in the Syrian war is a defense against “the enemies' plans,” stressing that the party does not interfere in “sectarian conflicts.”
"All the Islamic world respects and values Hizbullah for its fight against the enemies of Islam, particularly against the Zionists,” Iranian foreign ministry's spokesperson Abbas Araqji said, explaining that the party's “procedures in defending Syria aim at facing the enemies' plans.”

Several rockets fired from the Lebanese-Syrian border area landed in several towns in the Bekaa Valley on Wednesday, amid reports of clashes between Hizbullah and Syrian rebels on the eastern mountain range on the Lebanese-Syrian border.
“Four rockets fired from the Syrian side of the border hit the outskirts of the town of Sirein, east of Baalbek,” state-run National News Agency reported.

Italy's foreign ministry on Wednesday condemned Hizbullah's military intervention in the Syrian conflict, warning that it might lead to retaliatory attacks inside Lebanon.
“Italy condemns Hizbullah's intervention in the ongoing war in Syria -- an intervention that has been publicly announced by the organization,” Italian news agency AKI quoted Foreign Minister Emma Bonino as saying during a joint hearing before the foreign affairs and defense committees at the parliament and senate.

Dozens of demonstrators on Tuesday held a sit-in in front of the Lebanese embassy in Kuwait to protest Hizbullah's interference in the Syrian crisis.
"The protesters burned a picture of Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah,” Naharnet correspondent in Kuwait reported, adding that they demanded placing the party on the list of terrorist organizations.

Lebanon has received a list containing the names of nine Lebanese citizens from different sects whose residency permits will not be renewed by Gulf countries they live in, a media report said on Tuesday.
“The foreign ministry received a list containing the names of nine Lebanese who work in Gulf countries and whose residency permits will not be renewed due to their political affiliations,” LBCI television reported.

Germany announced on Tuesday that it will work on making the lives of a large number of Hizbullah members living in the country “difficult.”
German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich said a "significant" number of people belonging to Hizbullah were living in Germany but that they behaved in a "relatively moderate way."

Gunmen deployed on Tuesday in the Bekaa town of Arsal after its municipality announced the death of a town resident in “an ambush by Hizbullah supporters” in the Hermel region.
“Ali Ahmed al-Hujairi was killed in an ambush by Hizbullah supporters in the barren mountains of (the town of) Beit Jaafar between Akkar and Hermel,” the municipality's deputy chief told MTV.

The Gulf Cooperation Council has decided to adopt several measures against Hizbullah members in the council's member-states as a response to the party's involvement in the Syrian crisis, Al-Jazeera satellite television reported on Monday.
"The GCC strongly condemns the party's involvement in the fighting in Syria,” Al-Jazeera noted, adding that the council announced adopting measures against Hizbullah members regarding their stay permits and their financial transactions in the member-states.

Lebanese Option Party member Hashem Salman was buried on Monday in the southern city of Adloun after Hizbullah and AMAL Movement rejected laying him to rest in the town's cemetery.
"Both parties rejected burying Salman in Aldoun's cemetery or allowing his family to receive condolences in the local husseiniya,” MTV reported.

Syrian President Bashar Assad may succeed in crushing the two-year-old uprising against his rule with the support of Iran and Hizbullah fighters, Israel's intelligence minister said on Monday.
"It might be the case that, at the end of the day, Assad .. might get the upper hand," he told a meeting of the Foreign Press Association. "I think that this is possible.
