ICC: Kenya Refuses to Give Up Kenyatta Records

The International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor on Monday accused Kenya of failing to hand over records which she said were "relevant to critical issues" in President Uhuru Kenyatta's crimes against humanity trial.

"The Office of the Prosecutor requests the Chamber to find that the Government of Kenya has failed to comply with the April 2012 request to provide financial and other records of the accused," Fatou Bensouda said in papers filed before the Hague-based court.

Most Somali Refugees in Kenya Fear Return Home

The vast majority of Somali refugees in Kenya fear returning to their war-torn country, Doctors Without Borders said Thursday, warning aid must continue despite a recent deal for refugees to go home.

Despite living in often appalling conditions in the world's biggest refugee complex of Dadaab -- home to over 400,000 mainly Somali refugees -- at least four out of five are too frightened to go back to Somalia, according to assessments by the medical aid agency MSF.

ICC: Kenya President Kenyatta Must Attend Trial

The International Criminal Court on Tuesday reversed a ruling that allowed Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta to attend only parts of his trial, saying the African leader "as a general rule must be present" in court.

"Any future requests to be excused from attending parts of his trial will be considered on a case-by-case basis," The Hague-based ICC said in a statement.
