Israeli airstrikes targeted two buildings Monday in the southern towns of Kfar Tibnit and Ain Qana after the Israeli army issued evacuation warnings.

The Israeli military's Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee said the buildings contained "military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah."

UNIFIL called Monday on Israel to stop violating resolution 1701 after the Israeli army dropped Sunday unknown chemical substances from airplanes over Lebanon.

On Sunday morning, the Israeli army informed UNIFIL that they would be carrying out an aerial activity dropping what they said was a non-toxic chemical substance over areas near the Blue Line.

President Joseph Aoun met Monday with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez at La Moncloa Palace in Madrid, as he arrived in Spain to sign several bilateral agreements, amid intensified Israeli strikes on south Lebanon.

Aoun urged Spain, after his meeting with Sánchez, to pressure Israel within the European Union to commit to the implementation of a ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024.

One person was killed Monday in an Israeli drone strike on his vehicle on the Zahrani highway between Ansarieh and Sarafand, as Israel intensified its strikes on south Lebanon, despite a ceasefire and the army's deployment in the region.

Hours later, another drone strike targeted a car near al-Qlaileh in the Tyre district. The health ministry said one person was killed and four wounded in Ansarieh and four people were wounded in al-Qlaileh.

One person was killed and several others wounded in Israeli strikes in the country's south on Sunday, as Israel said it struck Hezbollah targets.

Despite a November 2024 truce that sought to end more than a year of hostilities including two months of all-out war between Israel and the Iran-backed group, Israel has kept up regular strikes on Lebanon and has maintained troops in five areas it deems strategic.

Syria's interior ministry said Sunday that its forces had dismantled a cell that was responsible for recent attacks targeting Damascus' Mazzeh district, saying the weapons came from Lebanon's Hezbollah.

An Israeli drone on Sunday fired five missiles at a bulldozer operating at a site that was previously bombed in the southern town of Qennarit near Sidon, inuring one person.

Israeli warplanes also overflew Beirut and its suburbs and the southern region of Iqlim al-Tuffah.

At least 17 Israeli airstrikes targeted Friday several regions in south Lebanon, including the valley between Msayleh, Tefahta and al-Najjariyeh.

The Israeli army said it is targeted "Hezbollah infrastructure" in the South Lebanon, while local media outlets reported a series of violent strikes.
