Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday met with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh at his office in Ankara, the official Anadolu news agency reported.

The meeting was held behind closed doors, it said.

Sweden's security situation has deteriorated after recent Quran burnings in the country and protests in the Muslim world, both of which have negatively impacted the Nordic nation's image, its domestic security service said Wednesday.
