U.S. Man Arrested for Urinating on Fellow Passengers on Plane

A drunk passenger on board a JetBlue plane was arrested on Friday upon arrival in the western U.S. state of Oregon after urinating on fellow passengers, authorities said.

"Flight 45 from Anchorage, Alaska, was met by local authorities upon arrival into Portland at 4:26 this morning following an incident involving an intoxicated customer," the airline said in a statement.

Three Injured in New U.S. School Shooting

Three teenagers were shot and injured Friday outside a high school in the northwestern U.S. state of Oregon, in a suspected gang-related incident.

Investigators launched a manhunt after the gunman fled the scene, the Portland Police Department said, adding that the incident was "not an active shooter situation."

'Simpsons' Creator: Real Springfield is in Ore.

One of the best-kept secrets in television history has been revealed, with "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening pointing to Springfield, Ore., as the inspiration for the animated hometown of Homer and his dysfunctional family.

Groening told Smithsonian magazine, published online Tuesday, that he was inspired by the television show "Father Knows Best," which took place in a place called Springfield. Springfield, Ore., is 100 miles south of Groening's hometown of Portland.
