Bike Bomb Wounds 12 at Pakistan Checkpoint

A bomb attached to a bicycle injured at least 12 people at a Pakistani police checkpoint in the southwestern city of Quetta Monday, police said.

The bicycle was parked at the checkpoint and its four-kilogram (8.8 pound) bomb was detonated by remote control, Quetta police chief Mir Zubair Mehmood told AFP.

A car bomb killed at least eleven people on Wednesday and wounded 22 more in a Shiite Muslim area of the restive southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta, police said.
